The Canadian Chopin Society (CCS) is a registered charitable organization based in Mississauga, Ontario, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Fryderyk Chopin and promoting his music, while nurturing the development of young artists.
Founded by Dr. Janet Lopinski, the CCS presents the Canadian Chopin Piano Competition every five years, in conjunction with the International F. Chopin Piano Competition held in Warsaw, Poland.
The competition is open to Canadian pianists, and there are three divisions; Junior, Intermediate, and Senior.
Competitors perform works by Chopin for a jury of internationally renowned pianists.
The Sixth Canadian Chopin Piano Competition was held from January 9 - 13, 2025 at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning in Toronto.
After 5 days of incredible music, the competition has concluded and the winners of the Sixth Canadian Chopin Piano Competition were selected.
